Sayulita

Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico, March, 1989. Telephone service had not yet arrived; electricity had only been available 15 years or so. This was a working beach for the local fishermen. An artist colony was dispersed in the jungle around the town.
A new shelter for the fishermen was needed. Community members, mostly teenagers, were enrolled to thatch the roof with fronds taken from the surrounding jungle.
I found an antidote to my life in Silicon Valley.
